Full Body Stretching and Sports Stretching
New for 2024!
Now offering 30 minute (sport specific) and 45 minute (full body) facilitated stretching sessions.
The benefits of stretching can include: Improvement in range of motion, reduced risk of injury, better posture and, enhanced circulation. Facilitated stretching techniques will be utilized in your session. Facilitated stretching (may also be called assisted stretching) uses both passive techniques and active techniques, called proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (or PNF). PNF is a stretching technique utilized to increase range of motion (ROM) and flexibility. PNF increases ROM by increasing the length of the muscle and increasing neuromuscular efficiency. PNF stretching has been found to increase ROM in trained, as well as untrained, individuals.
This will be clothed session without using draping. Please wear clothing you would practice yoga or exercise in. The session will consist of both passive and active stretching techniques focused on sports specific muscle group in a 30 minute session and all major muscle groups in a 45 minute session.
